A lifelong resident of Northwest Georgia, Pauline Aft has been active artistically for most of her life beginning with watercolors and eventually working in acrylics and oils. Her subject matter ranges from vibrant and dramatic figures to softer and more subtle subjects.
"I try to find the poetry in each painting. I know every painting or work of art has a story, maybe even a narrative. I try to make art that touches the most human parts of all of us – that’s why family, children and animals are often the subjects that catch my eye. I want people to not just view my work, but to feel it," Pauline says.

David Aft is a painter and musician who lives in Dalton, Georgia. He is the proud father of two sons, Dakota and Carson and proud husband to Pauli, citing them as his inspiration.
He says, “My parents taught me that artists see things that are not there and show them to the rest of us."
Aft has dedicated the last ten years to becoming a decent painter.
“One of things that I have always loved about painting is that it is a never ending journey, both artistically and technically. There is always something to learn and always another story to tell. I am constantly inspired by the work of other artists and they many amazing ways they find to help me see things through their imaginations," he adds.

Self-taught artist John Wilson started painting four years ago. Through lessons taken at the Creative Arts Guild under Visual Arts Director Brad Wilson, his self-described exploratory adventure has produced a body of work that includes non-representational and representational works.
A prolific artist, Wilson uses bold colors and strokes in many of his works using a layering style.
“I have an interest in the figure and recently have explored the use of a Pollack influenced style incorporated with figures in my paintings. As with all of them, the outcome is a striking surprise,” he says.
Wilson has exhibited at the Creative Arts Guild in October of 2013, Michael’s Fine Art in 2014 and the annual FESTIVAL Patron Exhibit for the past three years. His work is on display in public spaces such as the Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce as well as numerous private collections. Wilson is from Hawkinsville, Georgia and moved to Dalton in 1977. He is married to Cynthia Wilson and has a lovely daughter named Molly.

After a satisfying career as a middle-school educator ending in Dalton, Georgia, Paul Fontana picked up a paintbrush, intending to entertain himself only. In 2007, he began selling his work at the Dalton Market. He went on to Chattanooga and then Atlanta. Now, seven years and hundreds of paintings later, he considers himself a full-time artist and Paul Fontana's "Traveling Art Show" can be found in Indiana, Florida and all points in between.
Paul says, "Though I began painting realistically, I felt that my real calling was expressing myself more through color than form. I consider myself a colorist, in that it is my focus when painting. How one color looks when it is next to another, and how it complements or contrasts are all areas of his exploration. Most of my work is red, though that's not a color I wear or drive.”

Bradley Wilson’s Art is a process that is fluid and organic, constantly changing as he works. His only philosophy is to be open and responsive to the possibilities of the moment.
He says, "Connecting with the present and finding the potential—this is what my art is about."

Born in 1954 in Zurich, Switzerland, Andreas has lived in Dalton, GA since 2003. He is married and a business owner.
Fellow artist, Ray Pierotti says, "In the age of Photoshop and digital manipulation, Andreas rarely alters his photos. He is open and direct—his photographs reflect his nature by attention to detail in daily routines. His desire is not to compare or document, but simply to observe and allow others to look over his shoulder while he discovers what is ‘noticeable.'"
